so up until today i was set on gettin a set of the jwt sport 500s, because they have such a good reputaion and alot of people have them too.....but today i found that Z1 has a package deal w/ injectors, and new ecu and a couple of other parts for about $3400, sept the turbos are the Z1 GT525r and i havent heard of them from anyone and i was wondering how high you could boost w/ them and what there lag was like....also are they dependable?

ask k3 about them, he knows all about em... they're definitely awesome turbo's for the route of not totally insane power but still Sick spool times with awesome boost response.. and they're cheap cheap as well, i'm surprised they're not more popular...

dude...probably one of the best turbos for lightly modified Z32's. offers spoolup times very similiar to sport 500's and stockers. cheap because it utilizes the same housing as the stockers.

basically, it is a stock T25. only the turbine wheel is removed and the hole is bored out to fit the newer, larger more technological advanced Garret GT series turbine wheel. T series is inferior and out of date to the GT series. also Z1 goes a step further and uses stronger, smoother thrust bearings to make these turbos last longer than stock if taken care of.

capable of 525rwhp with 550rwhp beings an achievable benchmark according to robert at Z1.

if i dont go Ball Bearing, i will definitely be going with these.

all around good turbo...also take a look at AMZ's Stage I and II turbos. very similar to Z1's product but i know Mitch a little better than the guys at Z1. :D

okay so now i have 3 choices!!!

jwt sport 500s
z1
amz stage II

the AMZ's look like the best price for power wise....does anyone have experiance w/ them and how they feel/respond, also how is the lag on them?

check out 300zxclub.com and ask those guys about the AMZ Stage II's. it seems that AMZ is a beloved Z shop over there.

for you, i would recommend the sport 500's or Z1GT525R's. i think the AMZ's Stage II's are a little bigger and will not spool as good as the others.

if you do not plan to rebuild your motor than the sport 500's are probably the best option as they are proven.

basically, all of the turbos on that list will max out the engine's capability on stock internals.
