How do you remove the overhead console to check for loose wires or switches?

How do you remove the overhead console to check for loose wires or switches?
If you're talking about the small console(not the jetplane one) take the center lens out(just pops out) 2 screws inside. undo, cover comes off. Only thing inside is the infrared reciever for the remote entry.
