ka trans compadibility Qja_ka24det 11-14-2005, 03:23 PM Ok so i know this is prolly somewhere else in the forum, but i have failed to find it....blame the dislexia. Anyways, i have a 1990 240 fast back and was wondering if any ka (91-94) will bolt to the 1990 trans without any problems or what not. Once again i know this is prolly covered on here but i couldn't find it. Dyno247365 11-14-2005, 07:03 PM ...you want the DOHC rather than the engine you already have? what's the reason for that? really like KA's? or do you not have an engine? Hit_N_Run-player 11-14-2005, 07:08 PM he has a bad SOHC tranny and wants to know if the DOHC will work because it will probably be a lot easier to find, and cheaper... Hit_N_Run-player 11-14-2005, 07:09 PM id just try and pick up one from the nearest salvage yard, as long as it works fine and the deal is right... ja_ka24det 11-15-2005, 01:01 AM no no no sorry for the confusion....i wanna keep the 1990 trans and was wondering if it is compadiable with the DOHC engine. DOHC for me = more future turbo build up possibilities ja_ka24det 11-15-2005, 01:03 AM oh just found the thread i was looking for...apparently its the same bell housing, i just need to get a different ECU, harness, and couple other goodies, thanks for your help anyway guys NissanElitist 11-15-2005, 02:25 PM You can keep the ECU, it will work. aricanderson 11-20-2005, 09:21 PM from what I remember the ka24de and the ka24e have the same bell housing on the tranny. I even think that the wiring harness will plug up but I'm not sure about that part vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
