OK folks what was your most favorite car your ever owned?
mine was a 1988 Subaru Justy4x4 (The Rockn Rollerskate) and ill tell you what if you ever see one buy it! i beat the living snot out of the car for 4 months all day every day and i have to say that car took a beating like no other and never broke a single part except the sway bar ripped off while off roading, and also for a 3 banger it burned tires into 3rd with ease! by far most durable and balsy car i ever owned twice!

...most favorite car your ever owned?

Ever owned, darn, I was going to say a Skyline GT-R34 V-spec II
but I haven't owned one, YET!
So, since my only other two cars were a late 80's Mazda B2000, and a late 80's 3-door Civic, I would have to say MY CAVALIER!

Why does it seem that your always ranting about that GSR of yours. No offense but this is a cavalier forum. And as i do respect you and your vehicle I personally dont want to hear about it everytime u post a reply in here. I dont know about everyone else and i do not speak for every one else it is just my perspective.

I answered the question....is that ok w/ you? I didn't know ONLY people w/ Cavaliers could talk on this forum....until that's the case, deal w/ it!

1985 Chevy Celebrity

Wasn't fast at all. Took one hellofa beating. Dirt roads, corn fields, mud, rain, snow drifts, bushes, and rock piles.

Had to replace head gasket once.

92 Cavalier

Amazing torque pull to it and that motor took one hell of a beating over a couple years til the entire rear suspension rusted out and it was undriveable...still ran, though...

Ahh yes, the torque, I love it. Who was it that had a signature that said something like "Torque=power, horsepower is for bragging rights." So true. What do you mean by the entire rear suspension? I know my rear bumper is totally rusted away, nothing left but a few edges, lol. And there's a hole in my trunk on the passenger side where the rear shock mounts, that worries me a little. It's a shame, they could have built these great cars to last longer, but they want you to but a new one every few years. Money is the Root of all Evil.

Mine was a 1968 Rambler American, six banger straight, no power steering, brakes, no A/C. Someone stole it a few years ago and toalled it. Bummer. When I do work on the engine, I go right into the engine compartment. By the way, the car was almost all metal. don't see many of them nowadays. If I had the money, I'd buy me a souped up 67 Camaro or a 65 Mustang. None and I mean none of the new cars impress me. Be it Rolls Royce or Hyundai. They are all plastic and soon pressed carboard like my Hongkong boots.

That's what I mean...aren't those some beautiful shock towers in the rear? Granted, some of that damage was probably the result of sending the car airborne at 105 mph...but whatever...ran like a champ til I sold her.

Surprisingly enough, I sold it to a guy from the Gateway J-Bodies for $400 and he had it running safely in a week. He custom made all new sheet metal for that sucker.

My all-time favorite was a 1962 2 door Pontiac Grand Prix I had back in '69 (yeah, I'm getting old), original first year of the GP with syncronized 4 speed, 389 tri-power, tach on the floor console, bucket seats, 8 bolt rims. Wish I had that car today.

Here's my favorite today, because I have it now, and plan on keeping it indefinately.

my favorite car? but only cars i have owned... my choices are very limited, i guess i will go with my 96 cav as its the only car i have ever owned.

its a good lil car, i drive it on the hard side.

it happens to be a red 2 door, and ppl have told me that the police look out for red 2 doors but for some reason i was only pulled over once in a town where all you ever hear is how bad the cops are and he let me off with a verbal warning.

so maybe its lucky? i donno but i still like it.

90 Talon TSi FWD. First "real" car I owned. Loved it and would probably still be driving it if a line to the oil cooler hadn't broke. Before I knew it, it had seized a balance shaft causing the timing belt to break destroying the entire valve train. Sold it for about $700.

Took that $700 plus a few dollars more and upgraded to a 92 TSi AWD with a recently rebuilt transmission (timing belt when out on that one too) but a transmission that ate itself. Another $450 later and and a nice little riceburner. Unfortunately that too was sold and "upgraded" to a 98 Montana minivan.

Hey, I learned how to drive on a Subaru Chaser 4WD on the fly. (Canada's version of the Justy I believe) Then one day when my parents were out I took it upon myself to race it up and down a gravel road near our house. Each pass back and forth yielded faster times. Being 14 at the time I had not so much common sense, and kept on pushing for more speed. I ended up hitting 90 kms/hr before I looked up from the speedometer. Wayyyyyy too fast for the corner.......I tried to make the turn to no avail, and slid sideways into some railroad ties (the beams they use under the rails) My drivers door wouldn't open, so I hopped out the pass side and had a look at the damage. Both wheels on the drivers side were folded under the car like the Delorian on Back to the future! Dad was on a business trip and my mom made me donate the 1000 dollars I had been saving forever towards the repairs. Surprisingly the car ran like normal after the suspention had been replaced.

About two years later I took it upon myself to teach a cute girl my age how to drive standard. What a mistake.....she ended up trying to go around a really sharp corner freaking out because the brakes wouldn't work (she was pressing the clutch in) and smashed the drivers corner into a tree. Well out came more money from my bank account to cover this, mind you her parents thankfully came up with half. And the car ran great.

My family took this as a sign to sell the car before something else happened to it, and every once in a while back in my home town when I'm visiting my parents, I'll see that same Subaru running around. You just couldn't kill that thing!

Favorite car? 76 Triumph Spitfire a.k.a. go cart and of course #1 is my 95 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD with 98 Eclipse conversion

I'd have to say that it would be a toss up between my 01 Eclipse GT and my 97 3000GT. Well until I get my STI which will be in about a year and a half when I turn 25 (insurance purposes)
