The holes for the side seat belts.. drilled and sanded

http://www.outthere.info/Pennzoil/Pennzoil_prog_22.JPG
http://www.outthere.info/Pennzoil/Pennzoil_prog_23.JPG

the rubber 'hold' for the tire.. as the tamiya router spins faster than the drill and less powerful than a dremel.. pretty straight forward..

http://www.outthere.info/Pennzoil/Pennzoil_prog_26.JPG

I wet sanded down using grit 600 than 2000.

Just one quick question, how are you going to replicate the pearl effect on the yellow?. Cars looking awesome so far, keep it up and keep the pics coming.:iceslolan

This is looking great, you put way more detail into yours then I did mine, but then again mine was a quick build. Thats an awesome idea for sanding the tires, I'll have to try that sometime.

Coming along wery well!
So the Penzoil yellow used on the real car has a pearl effect? - nice. :)

The colour code on the instruction is Tamiya TS Pearl Yellow or TS-16 (Yellow). Since I cant find Peral Yellow, I use Mr Colour instead :). The body still needs a few more coats before I gloss coat and start polishing.

To be continue... :P

It would transform the overall effect of the car if you could get some pearl to go over the yellow, eye popping :22yikes:when it's cleared and polished, either way it will still look amazing when you finish it, keep posting the excellent update pics

so have to wait till next week to do them..
meanwhile do more coats on the body and some touch up on the spoiler..

some small gap at the edge.. putty and sanded and primed and painted...
(still need to do wet sand)

progress is slow this weekend..

I had to redo the body because of this....
http://www.outthere.info/Pennzoil/Pennzoil_prog_34.JPG

Dumped into STP Brake Fluid for 40mins,scrub away with old toothbrush.. and ready to rock...
http://www.outthere.info/Pennzoil/Pennzoil_prog_35.JPG

While redoing the paint works of the main body.. i finish up the rest of the internals..

the red sticky ribbon thingy is from studio 27 seat belt set, and the seat belt PE are from eduard (as i have used up the studio 27 ones for the evo and peugeot 206)

http://www.outthere.info/Pennzoil/Pennzoil_prog_36.JPG
http://www.outthere.info/Pennzoil/Pennzoil_prog_37.JPG

The nismo decal is from the kit, i cut it to size and place onto the 'belt'

http://www.outthere.info/Pennzoil/Pennzoil_prog_38.JPG

Will need to see where to touch up when i finish the body...

Nice to see that you managed to fix the bodywork :banghead:, it's looking good, have you got any pics of the tyres painted with those pe stencils? be interesting to see how they turn out.

Looking good!
This is such a nice livery, I built one myself last year and took a first in the box-stock category with it.
Well executed build, those stencils for the tires gives an excellent look to the tires.

Hi maxwinamp, I've got one of those Skylines and was thinking of selling it but not now, seeing the quality of your build has made me decide to keep mine and one day I'll build it, I'll have to get some photo-etch stencils for the tyres because they came out superb, so realistic. You have got some talent for building and some patience as well considering the problems you encountered with the body shell, :bigthumb::bigthumb: for sticking with it.
