cold starting woes.

I have a real dilemma here. My '89 2.5 turbo doesn't want to start in
the morning. Once i get it started and warmed up a bit it is just
fine..only when it has been sitting for a long time..say overnight. At
that point, it acts like a carbuerated car with a bad choke on it. It
is real hard to start and for the first few seconds it runs real
rough. Once i rev it up two or three times it levels off and is just
fine for the rest of the day, even with frequent starts and stops. I'm
going to put a new fuel filter in it right now. I don't think that
will solve the problem, but it's worth a shot. If any of you know what
it might be, I'd love to hear from you. Otherwise, I'm gonna have to
take it to a mechanic and shuck out an assload of money just to find
out what is wrong. I really want to avoid that if it is just something

Well, it could be the turbo too buti'm not exactly sure, i'm not that familiar with that engine

Could be a temp sensor that's drifted off proper values and telling computer that engine is warm.
