d15b7 ta a d16z6 engine swapnatecivic92 11-12-2005, 06:41 AM I have this motor problem with thih 92 honda civic dx 4 door 5 speed i would like to swap out the d15b7 to a d16z6 i know that the vtec needs some wiring and a new computer p28 will the mounts,tranny, connectors work from my d15b7 any infromation or ideas in this area thanks natecivic 92 snowman2005 11-12-2005, 11:36 AM yes direct swap except u need to wire wire vtec like you mentioned natecivic92 11-12-2005, 01:59 PM well i have heard that on the 92 civic there is a pass/side shocker plug that a side the firewall side of the plug is alreadywired for vtec do you think i will need a p28 ecu snowman2005 11-12-2005, 04:31 PM u need the p28 ecu. your right vtec is already wired wup from the harness to the ecu so all u need to do is run 3 wires from the solenoid to the passenger shock tower harness CivicSpoon 11-12-2005, 08:20 PM There's no reason to make 2 threads on the same thing.
