I have an 86 528e. Does anyone have comparisons between the E.T.A. Conforti and Pro Formance Chips. I haven't found very much info on the Pro Formance chip. It seem quite inexpensive compared to the others which are offered. This chip claims a 20-24hp and 18-22 torque increase, redline raised 400rpm and speed delimiter with 92octane fuel.

Found the info at:

Based on the name alone, I would go with a Conforti chip. I had one in my 97 ti. Best "chip" I've ever used. As well as the best performacing chip on a ti that I've seen.

Anyhow, back to the 5xx chips. Conforti chips usualy stack up verry well to the other chips, however you do pay slightly more for the name. But you know your getting a good product. Personaly, I would invest the extra money in Conforti or another big name unless you can get a very good warrenty from the other products. Or the other product has a good rep. When you start messing with the computer, you never really know what exactly to expect.
