Blind spot is the area behind the vehicle where can't be seen from the driver seat. It is inconvenient and dangerous. According to Kids and Cars , over 2400 children every year are struck by or rolled over by a vehicle moving in reverse. Over 60% of backing up incidents involved a larger size vehicle (truck, van, SUV). Tragically, in over 70% of these incidents, a parent or close relative is behind the wheel.

The stories that I heard from my friends and co-workers are not as bad as the above, but backing into something seems a common experience many drivers share. The damage costs anywhere from $300 and more.

The solution and technology is inexpensively available out there. It does not cost a fortune to install one in your car. I think every car should have one. And this kind of safty equipment should made available and offered by the car manufacturer the first time when they sell you the car. But it is like a rip off to choose this option.
