93 Grand Cherokee delayed starting, slow to start, no fuel pressureSCullison 11-10-2005, 08:58 AM After reading online of several people suffering from this condition with their Grand Cherokee, I was comforted in knowing that I was not alone. But that didn't help get my Jeep running in the morning. When I would get into the vehicle and turn the key on, there were the sounds of things waking up. Various systems were preping for the ride, but NOT the fuel pump. Eventually (30 seconds to 30 minutes) the relays would begin to chatter and then the fuel pump would begin pumping the system full of gas. My first thought was that it was a bad fuel pump, or maybe the fuel pressure regulator, but after reading in various places about people who had replaced the fuel pump and lots of other pieces related to the fuel system without any change, I resisted the temptation to waste that time and money. Finally when I could no longer take the grief, I bought a used PCM and installed it. INSTANT FIX !! The car is like new. That's what you've got to do kids! autopart.com has them at a reasonable price. Just do it ! Steven vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
