Finally got them on. Looks like the lightweights were not included in the price that the co-worker stated. Apparently Motegi quoted him the wrong prices for those. :rolleyes:
I opted for the lightest wheel they had in the lower price range- DP10 - 18lbs - hyperblack with silver lip. Along with the Pirelli's 225/45R17, they make a good combination in terms of looks and handling, IMO. I was very impressed how much of a difference they make. I'm able to take turns at higher speeds :iceslolan without squealing and the steering feels much softer. The only downside is that the lower profile of the tire makes for a bumpier ride.
Overall, I'm quite happy with them! Opinions are highly welcome. Please forgive the dark picture again! I'll post a better one later.

Probably not, but the only drop I would consider would be that of the ASpec. Only about one inch. But at the moment, I don't want to go through the hassle of having to get a new alignment and such. And there is the other factor of wanting to do things myself, so that almost eliminates me getting new springs. :rolleyes: :grinno:
BTW, if you do get new rims, watch out for all the losers that pull up to you. Man, I thought it was bad when I just had the stocks on there, but now even the '06 TypeS's want to act like dummies. I even had a CRX with dented doors pull up next to me and rev. Pretty funny when I just sat there and let him go while he screeched his tires. Too bad the cop down the street didn't pull him over! :loser:

No man save some money, just get the wheel covers that look like spinners and make sure you jam the spinning part on one or two of them somehow, so that they don't actually spin. That will make any car look sweet.

Consequently- I want to go on record as a Fiero hater. A guy in my building has one. Every morning he revs...and revs...and revs. Then as he's leaving the lot he weaves it violently (like Nascar drivers do to keep the tires warm). ...........it's a fucking FIERO asshole!!!
Maybe I have Kasey Kahne living in my building. Seriously though- one morning I'm going to run out in a one-piece pit crew jumpsuit (while he's revving), slide over his hood Dukes of Hazzard style and just start jacking up his car and making arbitrary adjustments. Canuck, let me borrow your jumpsuit?

Like canuk said, the 18's add, at a minimum, 3-4 more pounds per rim and I was originally looking for lightweight rims that would enhance the RSX's handling. I wasn't going for looks as much as performance. The more the wheel weighs, the more torque you need to push the heavier wheel, resulting in a loss of acceleration. These rims only weigh ~2lbs more than the stocks, but the lower profile of the tire probably brings that down to ~1.5 lbs. Not too bad of a trade-off for much better handling. :smile:
The 18's are only for show and they look too big for this car IMO.
