Finally got them on. Looks like the lightweights were not included in the price that the co-worker stated. Apparently Motegi quoted him the wrong prices for those.

I opted for the lightest wheel they had in the lower price range- DP10 - 18lbs - hyperblack with silver lip. Along with the Pirelli's 225/45R17, they make a good combination in terms of looks and handling, IMO. I was very impressed how much of a difference they make. I'm able to take turns at higher speeds :iceslolan without squealing and the steering feels much softer. The only downside is that the lower profile of the tire makes for a bumpier ride.

Overall, I'm quite happy with them! Opinions are highly welcome. Please forgive the dark picture again! I'll post a better one later.

Nice. Would you ever consider a drop? Not a ghetto-fabulous street-scraper, but a quality, adjustable coilover with a reasonable drop.

Also, when are you going to mount the stock fives on the Grand Caravan?

Probably not, but the only drop I would consider would be that of the ASpec. Only about one inch. But at the moment, I don't want to go through the hassle of having to get a new alignment and such. And there is the other factor of wanting to do things myself, so that almost eliminates me getting new springs. :grinno:

BTW, if you do get new rims, watch out for all the losers that pull up to you. Man, I thought it was bad when I just had the stocks on there, but now even the '06 TypeS's want to act like dummies. I even had a CRX with dented doors pull up next to me and rev. Pretty funny when I just sat there and let him go while he screeched his tires. Too bad the cop down the street didn't pull him over! :loser:

As far as the caravan, I was thinking of some 22's in chrome with spinners. Wouldn't that be nice! :iceslolan :iceslolan

Congrats on the new wheels, they look good:bigthumb:.

No man save some money, just get the wheel covers that look like spinners and make sure you jam the spinning part on one or two of them somehow, so that they don't actually spin. That will make any car look sweet.

Funny that you say that. Just yesterday I saw an old minivan with spinner covers. Apparently a few of the spinning parts were broken on some of the wheel covers! :iceslolan :iceslolan

^There is a beat up powder blue Ford Taurus station wagon in my town with spinners and one of those HUGE angled out cannon exhausts you guys would shit yourselves over. I really need to get a picture and post it...with the caption:

"WHY?!!!!"

It makes me want to die a painful death. Seriously...I can't go on sharing this town, nay, this planet with a monstrosity like that. It's unnatural.

There's a really pale yellow Viper up north that has a wooden spoiler. No joke. And he always drives along with a yellow (identical colour) Fiero. I've seen the dumbass duo multiple times....

Please get a picture of that next time you see it!

Fiero - $10k
Viper - $80k
Viper w/ wooden spoiler - priceless!

Do they draft each other? Cause that would be badass. And does the Viper's wing have a nice stain? Mahogany would look very classy, I think, on a yellow car.

Consequently- I want to go on record as a Fiero hater. A guy in my building has one. Every morning he revs...and revs...and revs. Then as he's leaving the lot he weaves it violently (like Nascar drivers do to keep the tires warm). ...........it's a fucking FIERO asshole!!!

Maybe I have Kasey Kahne living in my building. Seriously though- one morning I'm going to run out in a one-piece pit crew jumpsuit (while he's revving), slide over his hood Dukes of Hazzard style and just start jacking up his car and making arbitrary adjustments. Canuck, let me borrow your jumpsuit?

S777 - Like hell you're getting my jumpsuit. After seeing what you did to my CDs there's no way you're going to buy anything else :p

daveersx-s - 18's would make the car slower and less responsive, decrease mileage a little bit, give a harsher ride and is more expensive. The only positive is that it looks better.

I know, but it will be a lot nicer with 18's! Depend on what your looking for......

Like canuk said, the 18's add, at a minimum, 3-4 more pounds per rim and I was originally looking for lightweight rims that would enhance the RSX's handling. I wasn't going for looks as much as performance. The more the wheel weighs, the more torque you need to push the heavier wheel, resulting in a loss of acceleration. These rims only weigh ~2lbs more than the stocks, but the lower profile of the tire probably brings that down to ~1.5 lbs. Not too bad of a trade-off for much better handling.

The 18's are only for show and they look too big for this car IMO.
