Saturn starts, quits

Hello: My daughter has a 2002 Saturn 4 cylinder that has been workring well....until today ( Nov. 8) It will start and then quit..sometimes it WILL keep going,. Someone said it could be a relay.....any ideas folks??
I know this is sketchy but its really all I can use for information. The gent who said it COULD be a relay also said if it happens again (before its traced and fixed) that if you let the ignition key off just a wee bit it should continue to run.
Again.....does that ring a bell????
