High Idlingantaveus6 11-08-2005, 04:50 PM I have a 1999 Sebring Coupe LX. I changed the spark plugs by removing the upper intake manifold. I placed everything back properly by following the Haynes manual. When i crank the car it idles very very high and remains there. I immediately have to kill the car before I damage the engine. acampinoob 03-29-2006, 01:03 AM I absolutely gaurantee 100% that you have a vacuum leak. I've done that a few times. Kinda scary when you do a big job and go to crank the engine and VRRROOOOMMMM!!!! Check your brake booster, I usually forget that. It may be your throttle sensor, or throttle stuck, but I highly doubt that. workinoutsparky 04-05-2006, 08:59 PM did you bolt the throttle cable too far back???? it bolts to the manifold on top Did you put the spark plug wires back in the same place... Also you might want to disconnect the battery so the computer resets and starts fresh vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
