XM Radio in 05 Xabidevan 11-07-2005, 06:41 PM Anyone here have XM Radio installed in their 05 X? I am thinking about doing it, but would like some input before I make my decision. Is it integrated with the stock system and completely seamless...or will there be a separate XM control/display unit installed? I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks. Abi USMC XTERRA 11-11-2005, 05:45 PM I'd just go to Best Buy or the like and get ya a Roady (the newest one out) It sits in a tray, wires hide easy and goes nice with an 05. All ya do is buy it $80 Then can install it or you. 1st Mount it where ya want it. Run the power, Plugs in Cig Run the ant. Best to ut in center of top of windsheild and run wire down, around window rubber and into cowl then into rubber gromet at the firewall behind brake resivor. Plug ant in. Now all you do is tune it to ch 1 use the man. to figure how to set freq. set YOUR stereo you have now to the same channel. It will be playing XM! Set that channel as a fav and all ya do is change channels with teh xm radio and turn it up with your radio. It's that easy. Now activate your XM Roady. Enjoy XM. And you roady can be transfered to any vehicle and played through any fm radio, boat, other car, house, whatever. All have to have is extra antenna $30 in truckstops.... and a 12V power source. 1 amp. I would not buy a xm head unit, It's only good to THAT car. What if ya wreck, sell, or break down? A ROADY moves with you! See a Roady Demo at CC or Best Buy MC vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
