Rear window defogger

I just bought a 1996 Aspire and discovered that it does not have a rear window defogger or wiper. If I found one in a junkyard, what would be required to add them to my Aspire--especially the wiring?
Also, on the dash next to the dimmer there are four squares (most likely for options). Does anyone have any idea what they are for? I am guessing one is for a rear window defogger and one may be for a rear window wiper, but I can't imagine what the other two are for. Thanks for any help.

those blocks are for anything your heart disires
my 95 got the same one is defrost the rest are for
any other button you want to put in (nos?) that is all i can tell you off hand for right now
