well at around 12 am today I was out going to my friends house, and long story short, I almost got t-boned by some asshole w/o his lights on, and since I gunned it and tried to swerve around him I started to fishtail, and I ended up on the sidewalk... I know for sure that the front passenger shock is completely ripped out of the tower, and the axle I think is completly fucked up, the fender's off alignment, and the hood won't open at all....

I do, however consider myself lucky, b.c I walked out w/o a scratch on me, and so did my friend who was sittin' shotgun...

I had to call my mom, and she came and got us, but the worst part is that I had to leave the Z to sit there, because they (mom and dad) refused to call a tow truck....

Now, my dilema is this; I'm going to have a mechanic give me a price estimate on how much all the damage will cost to fix... and if it's gonna' be alot of money (that I don't have) I don't know what I'm going to do... I want to keep the car, but if it's beyond say $3-4000 repair, I may just have to sell it for parts becuase I just don't have that kind of money. If I do this, than I was thinking about buying my neighbor's 74 thunderbird with 27,000 orginal miles on it for 3K and selling it for more than that and with that money; either buy an n/a z32, buy another z31T, or save up for a z32tt

If you guys were in my position what would you do??? I'll let you guyus know how everything turns out, and how much it's gonna' cost to fix the z.

you got t-boned by another person...so...you didnt file a police report and swap insurance company information??? the other guy's insurance company should be payinf for your damage.

if i were forced to get rid of it...i would probably keep it parked in storage somewhere until i found out what i wanted to do with it and in the meantime bum rides off other people and save up for a Z32 or take out a loan for one.

that suuuuuuucks dude... but yeah, Get on that idiot that hit you for insurance, file a police report and all that... by the sounds of it, it was 100% his fault, so you should be covered no problem... if you can't get it fixed... sell me your turbo :D

Sucks to hear about it though dude. Im assuming you dont have any insurance on it too. It it costs too much to get it fixed then I would just part it out hey. It shouldnt be that hard to find another nice Z31 around. Hell, Delerious is probably going to sell his soon so you too can drive around in a nice purple Z :p

yea, I almost got hit, but in trying to swerve out of the way, the car jumped the curb;

I talked to the mechanics who towed it, and the frame is fucked up in two places, one of which is at the top of the car, and since it's pushed up, the hood is jammed... the front right control arm is completly fucked up, and the guy just drove off... he didn't even stop or n.e. thing, and my mom said that our insurance won't pay for it;

the insurance company is trying to tell me that b4 the accident my car was only worth $300, so my mom didn't feel like paying for full coverage or w.e...

From what the mechanic and I discussed, it's not going to be cheap to fix the car, and I may end up parting it out; The engine and interals are fine, and it's got two brand new tokico illumina shocks in the rear end, so I guess I might just part it out
