Need help with turn signal problemRalphMac 11-04-2005, 01:25 PM Well, I've read most of the threads concerning turn signals. Here's my question ? Is there a specific fuse for the turn signals ? My driver side signal had a blown bulb. I noticed that the socket had some corrosion and didn't have a good connection. When I replaced the bulb and tried the signal, I believe I blew the fuse / relay / switch / flasher ??? I went to the GM dealer to purchase a NEW switch - $ 70.00 Something tells me that there should be a fuse prior to blowing the turn signal switch. I've checked ALL fuses under the hood - no luck. Is there a fuse somewhere else ? Please help. Thanks. ropar3 11-05-2005, 12:32 AM make sure the bulb socket is clean, i had problems with my '98, the bulb melted a little and some was stuck down in the socket, i cleaned it out and put some grease stuff you can get at parts store for the light sockets. it has work now for awhile. kmohr3 11-05-2005, 08:44 AM there is a fuse panel on the right end of the dash board, you have to open the right door to get at it. RalphMac 11-07-2005, 02:36 PM there is a fuse panel on the right end of the dash board, you have to open the right door to get at it. Thanks - it was a blown fuse ... I tried pulling the panel cover off before. It was so hard to get off - I assumed the fuse box wasn't behind it. I actually used a screwdriver to pry it off. Thanks. burijon 11-08-2005, 10:27 AM Try using some electric grease on the bulb connectors. So far it has done wonders for reliability. Also my connectors are melted and burnt looking. I took a small jewelers screwdriver and CAREFULLY bent the metal pins upward/inward to allow for more contact on the bulb. SO dumb. wylietx 02-25-2006, 02:17 AM I had the same melting bulb issue, grease helps for a while. But the problem for mine was grounding, I ran another ground wire from behind the bulb socket to the car body and it has been good now for a long time. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
