ATTN: Anyone with the "quick-shift" auto transmission fluid pressure plug unpluggedDaveSev 11-03-2005, 05:56 PM http://www.240sx.org/faq/articles/shifting_faster_with_an_auto.htm Plug it back in. After hearing multiple people say it's okay, I did it and for eight months it was great. Then it didn't want to shift into overdrive, then it was losing power and making odd shifts, then it popped into nuetral occassionaly, then it completely died. 1400 bucks for a new transmission, and my car isn't worth much more than that, so good-bye 240SX. I'm 95% sure that unplugging the transmission fluid pressure regulator escalated the problem. Just a friendly word of warning....unplug it for the track if you want to....but it CAN hurt your car. nissanfanatic 11-03-2005, 06:31 PM Good info. Do you have any pictures of what went wrong or any info on exactly what part fails on the transmission? DaveSev 11-03-2005, 07:07 PM No idea really, don't know much about transmissions. But they said that for sure the whole tranny needed to be replaced. nissanfanatic 11-03-2005, 07:48 PM Hmm... How often did you perform basic matinence on it(filter and fluid change)? AWDSR20 11-03-2005, 08:42 PM wow... sucks dude... di u try to contact the website ? DaveSev 11-03-2005, 09:40 PM Hmm... How often did you perform basic matinence on it(filter and fluid change)? Did at the beginning of summer, yeah. People over at Zilvia said it was fine, too. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
