'05 Ford GT73superduty 11-03-2005, 01:03 PM Taking a break from the regular builds I decided to throw together one of Polar Lights fabulous Ford GT's. I bought the blue one(hoping for a white with blue stripe) and only painted what I need to for a nice shelf display model. Used mainly Testors metalizers for the whole thing. I like the aluminum look of the chassis and decided to leave it that way. http://images12.fotki.com/v240/photos/9/95430/2808324/fordgt10-vi.jpg http://images12.fotki.com/v203/photos/9/95430/2808324/fordgt13-vi.jpg http://images12.fotki.com/v238/photos/9/95430/2808324/fordgt19-vi.jpg More photos can be seen at my Fotki page: http://public.fotki.com/73superduty/my_completed_model/polar_lights_2005/ Fun easy week build. Worked on it about an hour a night. The instruction sheet is still a bit jumbly, but the kit when built is great. Chris ol' dude 11-03-2005, 01:07 PM Looks very cool!! Great looking build!! NissanSkylineGTR98 11-03-2005, 04:10 PM nice work! 99civichic 11-03-2005, 04:19 PM Very nice! tonioseven 11-03-2005, 05:29 PM I love it!! I'd have to change the wheels out if I ever build one. :) eph2 11-03-2005, 05:58 PM Nice Work! ZoomZoomMX-5 11-03-2005, 06:43 PM Nice job! I'd like to see one in white w/blue stripes myself. This color is nice, and w/some effort it buffs out to a most gorgeous, deep shine. I sure had fun building mine a while back. I had trouble w/the rear window and some engine compartment stuff on the first one, the second one I paid more attention to what I was doing, deleted the muffler, and everything fit perfectly. Layla's Keeper 11-03-2005, 08:01 PM Good build, 73. Those Polar Lights snappers really are a nice quick way to get a good shelf model on the shelf. blubaja 11-03-2005, 08:38 PM Looks awsome!! Hopefully, the AMT release wil be bare, making it easier to paint without stripping. Keep up the great work! JDMHOTROD2(Robert) 11-03-2005, 08:50 PM nice job chris, will this be on display at the shop so i can take a look in person??? D_LaMz 11-03-2005, 09:01 PM Great work! What scale is it and is the paint stripable? 73superduty 11-03-2005, 09:07 PM Robert, yes, it's at the shop. D Lamz, Use 91% rubbing alcohol to strip and the scale is 1/25. Thank you everyone for the comments. I think with some real time and detailing this car could really show. Chris JDMHOTROD2(Robert) 11-04-2005, 01:25 PM ok chris i might be up there today to pick up some wheels and bmf. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
