My friend has a 95 ES 300, and he wants to put an aftermarket headunit in it. Someone told him that it couldnt be done because it was all wired into the A/C and heat control instrument thing. Now i have no idea what he was talking about, but i figured i would ask on here.

Does anyone know anythng about this.

By the way, i did search and this is what came up

It's 2 seperate units.
Wiring harnesses are quite rare & tend to not stay in production because of low sales.
The wiring must be custom, but that's not hard.

The faceplate kits normally look like shit. The best option there is to buy some dark mohogany & cut it to fit. It's not hard.

You tell your friend to go to Crutchfield.com or any other Car stereo site or store and ask for a wiring harness for that car. I just got a Jensen head unit pot in my ES 300 I got my wiring harness and face plate from crutchfield." Toysrme " was right the face plate looks like shit. But Im too lazy to do the wood thing. Toys If you make it Ill buy it. Think about it!!
