94ford taurus sucks in a lot of water coolantlamb 11-02-2005, 11:47 PM i found leaks in area near the thermostats housing and hoses.i ck for water in oil its normal.i was told could have crack heads or gasket.but that if water in oil it isnt.runs wonderful.i ck tail pipe no water coming out.my water gauge housing near thermostats seems rusty around threads but cant say if that where it is leaking but seems wet there. i was told might need a dignosis by a machine.also the leak i found quickly stop . as soon as it leak after i put new coolant in it. does anyone have any idea what it could be.thank you ken p.s the car is not over heating to best of my knowlege next_perception 11-04-2005, 01:54 AM my taurus had a problem like this. we would fill it with water drive 100 miles and engine temp would start to climb again and we would have to refill it again. it was a cracked head gasket. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
