TT Upgrades and Stock Limits...helpKoRnboy 11-01-2005, 09:26 PM I'm getting rid of my Titan so I can get another Z. I'm going more frugal this time and getting my original love the Z32 TT. I found one I'm hoping with still be around when I have the cash, (1990) they are asking $6500 161K on body, engine and turbos were rebuilt less than 5 years ago. I do not know how many miles are on the engine in those 5 years. I've yet to contact the person. My budget is $10,000. Assuming the rebuilt is say 61K or less... I'm having trouble with the max boost the stock turbos can handle; I'm hearing 15 normal and peak at 17-18? I've already planed for Turbo-back exhaust (no cats) HKS SSQ's, Zemulator EMS. Now I'm not sure if I should go ahead and get dual intakes or stick with one for now? I don't want to hurt airflow with this low boost. I'm going to try and fit in some Z1 intercoolers and probably some larger injectors about 555CC's or so. I'm looking to get as much as I can before replacing the turbos till I can save up more for an upgrade. I have a couple of cars I'm selling and when they sell the Z will have a larger budget. Please any feedback is welcome I want a safe Z and I'm willing to wait and pay for quality installs and parts :) DeleriousZ 11-01-2005, 09:47 PM i think the thing is for the dual intakes is that they're really not worth it until you start making over, i think, 400 rwhp, but i'm not sure... but if you're planning to upgrade a whole bunch in the future, you might as well i guess... the absolute limit of the turbo's is around 18 psi... but yeah, for general daily driving, 15 is a good number. depending on the body condition that's a pretty good deal for a z with basically less than 60k miles on it.. better ask them if they've done the 60k mile maintinence on it yet too.. KoRnboy 11-01-2005, 09:55 PM Yeah I really have NO clue how many miles the rebuild has, I'm simply assuming by the average annual mileage. I hope it's a low mileage rebuild because for that price I'm going to be one happy boy. My other options are a $6,900 100K (no rebuild) TT I think some minor boltons or something and an $8,000 100K TT with just exhaust and was maintained by a Z shop (because of location I assume Z1 Motorsports) k3smostwanted 11-02-2005, 05:07 PM Yeah I really have NO clue how many miles the rebuild has, I'm simply assuming by the average annual mileage.
