Keyless Entry Pad

i have had my 97 xlt explorer for 9 months now and im fixing problems that i had bought the car with, i finally had a chance to get to the keyless entry pad but it dosnt work at all, no lights, dosn't lock no response at all! can anyone please help me out?

Check the battery in the keypad

How would you suggest i get to that battery? through the front or back of the door? is it in the pad itself?

I would recommend checking the fuses. It sounds like you are referring to the buttons that are near the door handle on the outside of the door, rather than the keyless remote that attaches to your keychain.

Yo, i am talking about the ones on my door, i checked my manuel and it dosnt say any fuse number for my keyless entry system(on my door) i checked all of them and they are all good, do you know which fuse number i could check again and replace?
