I purchased a new Kenwood Radio for my Rodeo and am having some issues with the wiring harness. I bought a Univeral wiring harness that seems to fit into place, but when I plug it in I blow a fuse every time. Are the wires crossed somewhere? I'm sure this is users error. Heck......I'm a designer trying to fix a car. Why do you think I'm here in the first place.

it soundds to me that you have a wire crossed somewhere. go throgh and check the power, ground, constant power and remote power wires. you may have the remote power wire form the deck plugged into the wrong spot.

this happend to me on a different car and i blew the dash lights out.

Seems that everything is in the correct places. All wires match up. I should be receiving the original radio today and I will check to see if it blows the fuse. If not it's the new radio....if it does could there be a short somewhere in the wiring of the car?
