I would like to change the plugs and wires in my 98 Sonoma myself, but it looks like a real pain. Just from looking under the hood it looks like at minimum I'll have to take the resonator box off. Something tells me that's not all though. The Haynes book just tells how to do the actual change. It doesn't say anyting about how to get down to the wires and plugs.

Anybody ever done a plug/wire change on this truck that can tell me the procedure?

when i did my wires, i went through the trap door in the passenger side wheel well.... The plugs ended up being a bitch, only since they were the originals. I don't remember teh exact procedure, but I'm probably gonna do plugs again today, it just depnds on how they look
