90 Daytona Auto lock problems

Hey to all, I am a first time poster here but a proud owner of a clean 90 Daytona. Proud but not all together happy. I just bought the car from the first and only owner a few months ago.

Everything was cool with the car until the cold weather came in. When it is cold the oddest thing happens with the auto door locks. I don't like the safety feature of the doors locking automatically anyway. As soon as the car reaches 15 mph they will lock. Except when it is cold. The doors lock all right but then everytime you excellerate they will start to try to relock. Even tho they are already locked. The chatter drives me nuts.

I took the car to the local Dodge dealer to have the safety locks unhooked. Almost 3 hours later. They were still trying to figure out how to do so and then they decided to try to fix it instead. Which was not what I went in for in the first place. In short they didn't have the switch to fix the problem and I told them I didn't want it fixed anyway. I wanted it disconnected.

Anyone else experienced this and what did you do about it?
