Isnt it under the back seat? I thought I read that somewhere. Check!

If you check it be sure the vent tubes are over the vent holes on the ends of the battery to take the fumes out under the car...

I was sure the battery was on the passenger side when I changed the battery a few months back. So, I went out and pulled the back seat up and the battery is on the PASSENGER side with the fuse panel on the driver side. This is a 2000 LeSabre Custom.

Why on a LeSabre with all it's engine compartment room, would GM put the battery under the seat?
