I don't know why but lately I have been wanting to build a junk car. I had an extra '67 Chevelle laying around, so that became my victim. I have done a little work to the body and following some tips, the body has been primed with red oxide primer. There is going to be much more that is going to be done - hopefully an entire junk diarama. I have also put a spare 440 motor together for another piece of junk to add. Even if this doesn't turn out the best, it sure will help my weathering skills. The holes in the door are supposed to be bullet holes. To make the "ragged" rag top, I used a piece of toilet paper. I think it gave off a good effect so far. I plan to paint it flat black and peel it up in the corners. Take a look at the pics and let me know what you think so far. Let me know if you have any tips or suggestions.

Thanks.

Well, here are two more progress pics. I painted the car a dull orange color. There is a lot more weathering I have to do, but this is how it stands so far.

That looks incredibly real. I am really impressed by your weathering work on this ol' junker. Any big (and messy) plans for the interior?

Thanks for the comments. I really didn't have any sort of plan going into this one. I am kind of just doing it as I go along. Yes, it will have an interior that will go along with the style of the car, but that is all I know for now. I don't know about the engine. I have a motor from an old '55 Chevy model. I may use that one. I will try to post some more progress in the next few days.
