Stage 1 / 2carpediemm 10-25-2005, 10:58 AM I have a 2005 SRT-4 and have been looking into the Stage2kit, anyway does anyone know if its true that the 2005 came stock with the stage1 kit (have heard this from some friends, but does not make sense since they sell it for the 2005 on the mopar website) thanks! Also does anyone know what would void the warrenty?? for example if its mopar parts but not dealer instal??? das2123 10-25-2005, 01:42 PM From what I understand the kit does not come stock on the 2005. Also does anyone know what would void the warrenty?? for example if its mopar parts but not dealer instal???If you buy the kit from the dealer and have it installed by the dealer, I believe your warranty is valid. If you do it yourself then you probably void it. TEXSRT should know some more and will probably chime in later. TEXSRT4 10-25-2005, 08:12 PM haha, good call my friend. the 2004/2005 srt's do not come with stage 1. they just run larger injectors than the 03's did. when you buy stage1 for an 03 you get a computer and injectors, for 04/05 you just get a computer. the numbers power wise are the same throughout the years! technically no aftermarket part can void your warranty, unless the manufacturer can prove that the modification caused the part failure! stage 2 has never caused a warranty problem, so dont worry about it. i have worked on dozens and dozens of srts, and seen even more than that with stage2 and not one has had a problem. even those with issues, the dealerships ge tthings taken care of. just because its mopar doesnt mean that your warranty is fine however. if you were to get a stage3 kit, and your motor were to die, they will probably not repair it. according to DCX, "those parts are for off street use only" and "warranty does not extend to race applications" so its kinda sketchy. but your ok. your warranty is fine, i promise. heck if i can get my warranty to cover a new tranny after dozens of drag runs, autocross days, many thousands of miles of abuse, than anyone can. i even drove it to the dealership with the lopey cammed sound. full exhaust, the whole nine yards. they didnt say a word carpediemm 10-25-2005, 10:43 PM Thanks, have been very helpfull, did a little digging myself and found the mopar warrenty, and just as you said man, it is more of a gray area then not. I'll prob wait tell the after Xmas to get thou... So I'm looking into a cold air and also blowoff valve, would you say that Mopar is the way to go for both? I know for a fact that I could find cheaper brands elsewere (same kind of part though) but my Dodge/Mopar crazy friends say NO WAY in #$@@! LOL! Dont mean to ask to many questions but does anyone know how low (springs only for now) I can drop it without affecting the stock supension?? Mopars is like 25mm or .98in?? Going to ask the little woman some for Christmas..little early I know, but gosh its my car for goddds sake...(have'nt even thought of what to get her yet...lol) TEXSRT4 10-25-2005, 11:41 PM dont buy the mopar intake. they copied the AEM cold air intake, but charge $100 more for it. the bov from mopar will run you about $20 more than you can get from AGP turbochargers. they are an identical kit, though the mopar is blue, whereas the AGP is unfinished aluminum color springs, HOTCHKIS are the best except for coilovers. the mopars are nice, heck they are great. the hotchkis springs are just better. they are the only springs on the market that were actually track tested/designed. on a side note, while yoru replacing the springs, pick up teh hotchkis swaybars as well! bet $270 you will ever spend. nothing else on the car will improve handling as much, i promise this coming from someone with nearly $5000 into my suspension on my srt! carpediemm 10-26-2005, 03:22 PM Thanks, will deff look into farther - hey has anyone got any expr with www.TurboNeonStore.com ?? Prices seem pretty ok.. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
