I'm putting my Hondas away for now, i wana build something more Feinty going sideways. :smooch: which brings me to this FD.

Its gonna take me some time, Due to School, and work. I also need an air brush so I can paint some of my custom colors I mixed, using Sherwin Willams automotive paint.

Not too sure of the color. Thinking a Nice Pearl Blue, Or a Iced Teal Pearl. (silver Mica)

The wheels on this sucker is Black Racing Harts Cr's 19'in, with polished lips.

Im in the process of mocking up this kit. Right out the box, its not the best. Fitment problems eveywhere. The sideskits needed to be cut out to fit flush with the rest of the body, and the gas cap needs to be cut out on the C-west kit.

Interior Wise, I want to go full out D1 style interior, meaning everthing striped, gutted out and what not. Roll cage of course

Be carefull what SW paint you get. When I helped paint my buddies RV-8 Airplane we were using some Sherwin Williams paint. It was absolutely horrible. When it was time to wet sand it was like sanding rubber.

Good choice, it's really nice kit, but be carefull there's a lot of fitment problens on the body and interior...

Sounds like you were missing Basecoat stablizer?

Go for Yellow! It looks sick with that bodykit! I've seen pictures of a finnish built RX-7 with this kit and it looks great!

Looking good!! I'm feelin that blue, it's pretty sweet.

Wouldn't go for that blue, the metallic flakes are going to look way out of scale. I think that yellow will suit it pretty well.

One thing I made sure, when I was mixing is if the mattallic was to scale. I used the finest flakes I could use. Mabe it was the pictures, but its not out of scale. :smile:

That gree would look real hot. Also you dont see aot of 7's in green. Whereas you will come across yellow ones, red ones, and blue ones quite alot. But your model. It will look hot as in any of those colours. Can you post pics of the wheels your going to use?

Yea, Ive been testing out that air brush, along with this experimental primer. I got the wrong type primer! :mad: Luckly I tested it on this POS Testors Camaro, before I primed my FD.

Heres a what the blue looks like, Kinda hard to tell.

I know its hard to see the true color,due to the dryness of the crappy primer, But this paint is A okay! I just need to find a good primer.

duplicolor primer should work fine for sherman paint, just don't try using duplicolor over sherman

:) Hey! I have a couple of those cups, but by Paasche. I use them with my Paasche VL and my Iwata Eclipse HP-BCS. That color looks sweet, almost like the verde artemis on my EG Civic. Cool car!~

I added some green pearl, looks very nice in the sun! The sideskirts still needed some work. I also painted the centers on the wheels the same color as the car. I call this color "Green Metal Gun Pearl" :D

the paint is so smooth, I dont even got to wet sand the clear THAT much.

Wet sanded with 1500 grit, buffed out with Turtle wax fine compound. I just love the results. :)
