front end vibrationhausof5 10-24-2005, 10:28 PM I have a '90 LeSabre that has a front end vibration. It sounds like I have knobby tuck tires on. It gets faster and louder as speed is increased. It seems to stop as the car is turned left. I have rotated the tires w/ no change. Had the car up on stands and shook wheels w/ no noticable play. If this is a CV joint problem, what side do I start with? maxwedge 10-25-2005, 05:54 PM Is this a vibration or a noise, makes a difference in the diagnosis? hausof5 10-25-2005, 07:56 PM It is both. The vibration could be causing the noise though. HotZ28 10-25-2005, 09:03 PM Could be CV joints, hub bearing, tie rod ends, ball joints or, just bad tires. I had some new BF Goodrich tires a while back that would never balance or run true. They were just out of round! I changed to Goodyear Viva Touring and it made the car feel like a new one. Have the front end check thoroughly by a good front end shop, not a tire store! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
