Removing EFI Fuse

Hello,

I tried to remove my EFI fuse on a 1999 Toyota Camry and it looks like a black rectangular box about 10 times the size of a regular fuse, but it seems like it's not revovable, unless i use plyers on it, but that might break it!

As an alternative, if i remove the negative battery cable in order to reset the 'engine check light', will that do any damage to any of the computer sensors?

Thanks very much for any insights!

Welcome to the AF!

Some fuses have a screw on the bottom that holds them in. In order to take them out, you have to have a screw loose...

Removing the battery cable will not damage any of the engine sensors. A better idea would be to go to Autozone, if you have thme in your area. They will read the code for free if you ask them. They might even reset the check engine light if you ask them, but the light and the code will probably come back on if you haven't corrected the underlying problem.

Good luck.

Mike
