89 Supra turbo vs C4 Corvettecaleb56 10-22-2005, 01:47 PM I woke up in the morning to check my car because it wouldnt start the night before. It seems my battery died, well anyway my friends brother pulls up in his 89 supra turbo and we go for a spin. I raced him from a drop. When i dropped it in 2nd i was burning out in 2nd and part of 3rd and i kept right by his door, but as soon as i caught my traction i began to slowly edge my way in front of him for 2 car lengths win. So now im stuck looking for some street slicks so i can further embarass him. Well its not so embarassing because i have modded my c4 and his supra is stock. I didnt think those supras were that fast. I guess you should never underestimate those supras. This is my first race since the mods, with no tune. To sum it up c4 vette beat supra from a drop by 2 lengths Igovert500 10-22-2005, 01:52 PM nice kill. So what mods specifically have you got? drftk1d 10-22-2005, 03:48 PM mk3 supra is like a 14/15 sec car thereabouts? nice kill caleb56 10-22-2005, 05:10 PM A bunch of things also My new mods and existing ones are compression boosted 9:5 to 11:0 rebuilt motor fully balanced floating connecting rods dual purpose street and track cam hedman headers centerforce dual friction clutch cf pressure plate cf flywheel lingenfelter intake manifold lingenfelter superram 52mm throttle body afpr heads 48 cc to 56cc heads fully ported and polished roller rockers msd wires dual valve springs with titanium retainers cloyes true timing chain airfoil k and n airfilter frisbee gone but no tune.
