I just bought a used 2001 325i last week. I noticed a high pitched noise coming from the rear passenger side. When I turned off the vehicle tonight the noise continued for about a minute before quitting. Does anyone have any ideas?? Could it be a fuel pump?? Why would it continue to make a high pitched noise after the car was turned off?? This isn't normal, is it?? Thanks in advance for any help.

go to the back seat grab the seat cussion fromthe bottom and give it a quick pull up the rear seat is veary easey to remove and allows gainable access to the fuel pump seander withch is on the pass side
reamove the seat and turn the key is the sound comming from the fuel pump?
