Can't wait to see the finished product!! KTem 10-20-2005, 01:35 PM Very nice work! How is this kit (in terms of parts fit)? Samurai75007 10-20-2005, 01:38 PM Looking good... mugenhb 10-20-2005, 01:52 PM Very nice work! How is this kit (in terms of parts fit)? The kit is a fujimi enthusiast model, everything opens up with the option for opening light buckets. Overall the fitment is very good but the kit had alot of flash. The plastic is kinda soft so you have to be careful with thinner parts and I would replace the plastic door hinges w/ brass sportracer02 10-20-2005, 01:56 PM Nice details .... blueboost 10-20-2005, 02:05 PM wow that looks great so far. show us the body! :naughty: Ferrari TR 10-20-2005, 04:50 PM Looks good! having all four wheels on the ground can be tricky with EM kits. Got any spare parts? :p D_LaMz 10-20-2005, 05:28 PM looks great! blubaja 10-20-2005, 08:57 PM Ohh man!! That is some really good detail! Is that in 1/24? Keep up the great work! godfather23 10-21-2005, 05:34 AM You have to love Fujimi for giving us some many different Countachīs. Awesome vuild. I wonder, if I should start mine as well. It will be nice seeing the 25th Anniversary next to this special version of the Countach. Keep up the great work! eph2 10-21-2005, 07:58 PM Nice Start. Very detailed!! mugenhb 10-22-2005, 10:39 PM Ohh man!! That is some really good detail! Is that in 1/24? Keep up the great work! Yes this kit is 1/24 scale and I just got my new body so I'll have some pics up soon mugenhb 10-23-2005, 02:07 PM here are a few pics of the body http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/271513fr-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/271513krear1-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/271513kside1-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/271513ktop1-med.JPG and here are some pics of the 25th anni. body just so you can get an idea of what the body kit will look like when finished . http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/271513upside.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/271513top1-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/271513rear1-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/271513profile1-med.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/2715133qrtr-med.JPG Verminator 10-23-2005, 03:57 PM Nice detailing, I especially like the webbing straps on the spare wheel. godfather23 10-24-2005, 04:13 AM That 25th Anniversary looks hot. But please, donīt build that last ever constructed Countach without that wing. The Lambo always looked better without it on. Give it a shot without the wing! eph2 10-24-2005, 08:01 AM Nice, nice, nice work! KTem 10-24-2005, 08:22 AM That 25th Anniversary looks hot. But please, donīt build that last ever constructed Countach without that wing. The Lambo always looked better without it on. Give it a shot without the wing! IMO it looks better with the wing on. The first Countach (late 70's) looked great without the wing. However the later versions sort of need a wing to balance the car's looks. :2cents: Nice stuff, keep it up! This will be a killer build when complete. :naughty: mugenhb 10-26-2005, 02:05 AM IMO it looks better with the wing on. The first Countach (late 70's) looked great without the wing. Lambo003 10-26-2005, 11:18 AM Never really cared for the Anni wheel combo other than on the actual Anni car . . . Surely Koenig has offered better suited wheel and tire combo's over the years. As far as the wing goes . . .I really think it's a personal preference and as mentioned, other model years look hot with out the wing, while others seem to beg for it. Since the Countach are hand built, each one has a different stance which dictate the final use of a wing . . . After all, tests have show that the wing does absolutely nothing for the car other than cosmetically . . . Personally, I prefer that uninterrupted rear view of that wide ass . . . Awesome build so far, bud! DJ_Merle 10-27-2005, 03:34 PM Looking Good! Keep up the awesome process! mugenhb 07-05-2009, 09:55 PM so after many years I have decided to finish this project, here are a few teaser pics of the body. have to finish a few things then mate the chassis to it. its not the best paint job, not polish bc the body is rather fragile but I like it anyway and I have three more kits to perfect the paint process on these cars. I think the first two pics are no flash and second two are with flash on. thanks Steve http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff174/mugenhbtyper/IMG_5095.jpg http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff174/mugenhbtyper/IMG_5097.jpg http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff174/mugenhbtyper/IMG_5102.jpg http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff174/mugenhbtyper/IMG_5104.jpg rsxse240 07-06-2009, 10:09 PM beautiful color! I'm glad to see this one brought back from the dead. Countach is by far the epitome of eruopean sports car...though in reality is worse off than a redneck modified 89 mustang GT. blubaja 07-06-2009, 10:46 PM Holy hell!! Welcome back project! Still looks dam good. mugenhb 07-08-2009, 04:53 AM well I still have a few things to finish but the car is mostly done. Still have to do the exhaust and fix a chip on the head light that happened when I was assembling it. oh have to paint the hood had some issues with grazing then decal her up, I was just so excited to see it almost finished after almost 4 yrs that I thought I'd share. He too replaced his hinges with brass (which is why I was reminded of this) and provided pretty good info in regards to pitfalls of the EM series. I have a pair of these Countach's waiting to be built eventually...yours looks good! mugenhb 07-12-2009, 03:35 AM Indeed I did, his kits inspired me to do mine, I have three more to complete. Right now I working on a twin turbo version of the countach, they are great kits I should have completed pics of the yellow car soon, its not my best work but now I have a better understanding of the pros and cons of the kit.
