Alexandra Spears 12-10-2005, 01:11 AM I've owned 4 vehicles so far. My first car I got when I was 21, back in 1994. It was a 1979 Chevy Malibu Classic, and my husband (I was married at 20) traded a computer for it. The following year I was visiting family in Detroit. I hit a pothole and saw the hubcap flying. :uhoh: The RF tire was at a 45-degree angle. My husband and father-in-law had to come all the way from Ohio to pick me up. I crashed at a nearby friend's house in Belleville, MI for the night, and we managed to get my car into the driveway and from there it was towed to a junkyard. Car #2 was a 1986 Dodge Charger, which I acquired after a couple months with no car. It was a 5-speed. My husband had taught me how to drive a standard, so no problem. Two years later, in 1997, the clutch was going so I got rid of it. But that was right after I acquired-- --Car #3. 1993 Ford Festiva, 5-speed. My dad helped me get it--I'd driven the Charger to Michigan, and he sold it for me, and he'd taken me to dealerships in the Detroit metro area. It was a pretty decent car, but a little small for my liking. In 2002 I traded it in for #4, my 1997 Grand Caravan. By then my son was 5 months old and a Festiva doesn't give you a lot of room, especially with an infant seat. Now in the time my husband and I have been together (since October 1992), he's had the following: 1981 Toyota Celica 1986 Pontiac Sunbird An old Chevette that seemed like the frame would collapse if you hit a bump (fun!) 1989 Chevy Corsica 1998 Ford Escort ZX2 80s model Buick Century 1987 Mazda pick-up 1994 Mercury Topaz 2001 Chrysler Sebring 2strokebloke 12-11-2005, 09:34 PM I'll keep it short, and just list cars that were either great, or really not great... http://www.cloudevscooters.com/Images/Conversions/leCar.JPG - one of my favorites. http://www.copperleife.com/craig/cars/images/geometro.jpg - not great. the one I drove was in pretty bad shape (it had been loaned to a friend while his car was in the shop, and smoked like a chimney). http://www.swapmeetdave.com/Humor/Yugo.jpg - fun, but not quite Le Car fun. http://www.motormagazinesha.co.jp/medialog/car/zeppan/subaru360/front_470x318.jpg - the most new car fun you could have for under $2000 in 1969 http://www.bluemoongear.com/ArchCarPics/57NashMetropolitan.jpg Like a typical american car of the fifties - only you can park it! http://www.garfnet.org.uk/new_mill/simon/saab/flytea1.jpg definately the best SAAB ever produced. http://www.palmerlakemotors.com/plminv/th83blGL.JPG I hated this car so much, that I'm only giving it a small picture. http://www.microcar.org/1997/33.jpg - A single cylinder car with a two speed transmission! Sounds and is technically horrible, but is more fun than a street legal go kart, and thus redeems itself. Well kind of anyway. Kuruptd4life 01-18-2006, 04:26 AM Im from Australia - and lookin at your guy's threads - u all have driven some fly rides - i wanna drive them too....
