I recently purchased a 1994 325i. It has been experiencing several electrical problems, including the simultaneous failure of the power windows, power locks and power moon roof.
If you have any suggestions (other than a blown fuse or bad ground) for that issue, I'm eager to hear them.
Also, I recently had an overheat during which the upper radiator hose blew. I replaced the hose and the temperature now seems fine.
Only a couple of days later, my transmission (automatic) started acting up and seems to stay stuck in second gear. Garage found I was low on transmission fluid, probably because of a slow leak in the AT fluid cooler unit. One garage (not a BMW dealer) said they couldn't establish any electrical problem going into and out of transmission, but I'm wondering if something other than mechanical failure could cause the transmission to remain stuck in one gear.
