Hi, i have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, with factory keyless entry and power locks. I'd like to get the alarm system but the factory kit one is selling at the dealer for $350 Cdn with wiring kit.

Are there any other good or even better systems that are compatible and can work with the keyless entry remote to arm and disarm them?

Or am i much better off sticking with the factory one?

Does the factory one have glassbreak? All it says is it has the shock sensors.

Any more info or advice is appreciated.
Thanks

There are alot of cheaper systems that you could use.
my 94 ZJ has the keyless entry/anti-theft system from the factory, but the owner before me lost the key fobs so I had to buy new key fobs, well I also wanted remote start. so instead of going and buying new keyfobs and a remote starter kit, I just got an entire kit (Remote Starter, alarm, Keyless Entry), I paid $100 at autozone and I hooked it up myself, the only downfall that I have discovered is that I cannot use my key to unlock the doors, for some reason this will not disarm the new alarm, so I must use the remote to unlock the doors/disarm the system. Now, I could trace the problem and prolly get the alarm module to get the signal from the door lock to disarm the alarm but it has not cuased me a problem yet. Actually I have only checked it once and it armed the alarm, I know there was a problem before when I first got the jeep, if I opened the door the alarm would go off and I would have to unlock the passenger door to get it to shutoff, so this might be the same problem and I am thinking it's the new alarm problem.
