Can anyone help me?? I need help trying to find the starter on my 99 landcruiser. I took it to the dealer to change but they wanted $790 to replace my starter. I figured for that price I'll do it on my own with a friends help.

Also if anyone has any tips that would be great!

I had a hard time finding it too. It's UNDER the intake manifold. At first I couldn't figure out why!! But think about it the LC is a purpose built off road Truck, put the atarter low on the engine like a Chevy V* and it'll get filled with water the first stream you cross. Put it at the top of the engine and it's safe.

Not a bad job. Took my dad and I about 4 hours.
