Has anyone else had this problem? I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota 3.9 V-6
With 45,000 miles. I had a leak at the back of the oil pan. I figured it was the pan gasket. I took it to Dodge. It's still under the 7 year 70,000 mile power train warranty. They told me it was the rear main seal. They are replacing it. It is only costing me the $100 deductable. I think this is a bit unusual for a motor with so few miles on it. I am very unhappy, as this is the 5th time I have had the truck in to the shop. 3 other times it was for the serpentine belt glazing and squealing. I get about 15,000 out of a belt. They have replaced the belt 3 times, the idler pulley once. This time they are changing the tensioner. I like my truck, but if I keep having issues like these, I am going to trade it in on a Toyota. LOL
