I crossed the friggin wires. - I've boosted tons of cars but for some
dumb reason I goofed-up this time! BIG MISTAKE!
Anyway, now my wife's 95 neon SOHC (the dead car in need of the boost) is even more dead! I switched the cables around after I noticed
smoke comming from the booster cables themselves (damn!) and tried to juice it up but NOTHING!
No dash lights etc...
I know I could have toasted the alternator but I shouldn't I atleast
get interior lights etc... if the battery's got juice - right?
The fusible link should protect the PCM and all other components
when people make stupid mistakes like I just did eh?

Thanks for any input folks.

Go ahead and make fun of me.

UPDATE

- ok - I got out there to check all the fuses and they're all good.
With my trusty digital MM I tested the fusible link and power is going
through it.
I pulled out the ignition fuse under the hood to be sure the box
was getting power and it too is getting power.
I'm thinkin... ok... - perhaps I fried the alternator or starter??? - But
shouldn't all of my interior lights still work? - Some things should
still receive power right?

I had the battery tested too - and it's good!

Any ideas out there?

Thanks once again in advance.

Mike

You're problem is most definitely probably the fusible link coming
off the starter to the alternator.
