IF i decide to get a accord i want to be in the low 13s without spending too much money.with the gsx i can spend around 5k and be in the 12s Got Boost? 05-22-2002, 11:09 AM fuck it,i'll just get the GSX and go smoke Hondas:evillaugh super 96 accord 05-22-2002, 02:52 PM why did you even bother coming here? you knew all along a gsx will be faster than an accord. you never wanted to go fast in a honda otherwise you sure wouldn't have picked an accord. go back to your mitsu forum. Be gone with your dirty mouth sinner. Protek 05-22-2002, 03:13 PM Wait a minute though, isnt a gsx at like 210hp and thats with a turbo were as you can get an h22a at 200hp without a turbo and easily get it over 250hp. Or am I wrong? Or am I wrong? you're right, but can you spend under 5,000 and have nearly 400hp on stock internals with no nos. That can equal mid 12's or possibly high 11 second 1/4 Protek 05-22-2002, 03:24 PM Originally posted by Got Boost? you're right, but can you spend under 5,000 and have nearly 400hp on stock internals with no nos. That can equal mid 12's or possibly high 11 second 1/4 well, I would have to say that it should be possible. You would probably want to rebuild the engine first. But you should be able to get some serious power out of an H22. I think someone that really knows there shit needs to answer that question though, im still rollin with the F22. super 96 accord 05-22-2002, 03:27 PM the main good thing about the gsx is AWD brads94accord 05-22-2002, 03:57 PM Originally posted by Protek well, I would have to say that it should be possible. I think someone that really knows there shit needs to answer that question though, im still rollin with the F22. well a stock mitsu turbo motors pistons and rods can handle up to like 500 hp, but the stock crank on the other hand won't last very long with anymore than 400 hp, 400 is about the limit. just gotta make sure you're putting a lot of fuel into the combustion to keep from detonation. as for the other thing, why not just buy a prelude that already has an h22. the accord is gonna be slower than a lude because it is heavier due to the fact that its a fmaily car and all. So there. Too bad I can only do that sort of thing once with it... Got Boost? 05-24-2002, 01:15 AM ? Got Boost? 05-24-2002, 07:31 PM up Got Boost? 05-25-2002, 04:50 PM up wagsaccordsir 05-25-2002, 05:48 PM I tossed up the same question for weeks on end and realized that the cheapest and best route was to do the H22 swap.. I paid 4500 for the complete swap, and that was for a JDM H22 OBDII. I paid another 500 for cam gears, pulleys and intake.. Another 600 on an exaust.. Well over 250 horsies.. How many people do you know that run 250 horsies stock? An F22 is optimal for a turbo application because of it compression ratio. However what they dont tell you, is after you spend the 5500 bucks on a stage 4 turbo kit from lets overboost.com, to get 200 horsies on top your stock 145, that you still need to reinforce the engine, new pistons, connecting rods, and sleeves and any other things taht need to be done to handle 20 lbs of boost.Your looking at right about 10 G's, and thats for 345 horse total... Sounds nice, but where you gonna get all the neccesary torgue to apply the full 350 horsies.. Sure you will find something. Not to mention you run that kind of boost frequently and your gonna melt your block after a short time. Also when you do race on a track they usually line you up in classes, I.E. stock, turbo, pro.. Well you run in the turbo class and now your a pee wee in the big dogs class.. If you run in a stock class, your now catching eyes. When you watch races who are you watching? I watch the faster car!! Thats what gets my attention.. Now with streetracing well ofcourse that a different story.. If you have turbo and race someone and you kick there ass, what are they gonna say? "Dude you got a turbo, that the only reason you won" No if you racem with an H22, now what are they gonna say? Nothing they are gonna bow down and lick your fricking feet because you are the shit.... You think about it!!! How much are you willing to spend? And how much pride are you willing to sacrifice? Good luck in whatever you decide!!! wagsaccordsir 05-25-2002, 05:52 PM I tossed up the same question for weeks on end and realized that the cheapest and best route was to do the H22 swap..
