engine894drcivic 10-13-2005, 11:37 PM What kind of engine would you get for a 89 civic 4dr if money wasnt a object. QUICK_EG_B16A 10-14-2005, 01:33 AM For simplicity(and realistic) reasons a 1st gen. b16 fully built for turbo. But if money was truly no object, K series, with the rsx type s 6 spd tranny. It sits farther back for a closer 50/50 weight distribution, nobody (or at least very few people) with your gen civic would have it, plus it's a great motor. but to do anything, pretty much every part would have to be custom made. but it's only money right? 894drcivic 10-14-2005, 07:35 AM For simplicity(and realistic) reasons a 1st gen. b16 fully built for turbo. Ace$nyper 10-14-2005, 01:12 PM mom > your life. ok 10K you might pull a k20 off but i'll take another lsvtec this time just little higher power and still nice for DD and will last so i'd still have 4K for whatever I want eg beer and hookers. Schister66 10-14-2005, 01:55 PM Why the hell do you have an 89 4dr Civic if you're giong to drop $10k on parts....i call BS.....like that's not obvious 894drcivic 10-14-2005, 05:15 PM Why the hell do you have an 89 4dr Civic if you're giong to drop $10k on parts....i call BS.....like that's not obvious at first she said i could get a new car if i dont spend over 20K but then i thought about it and i said momma ill just keep my car and fix it up. QUICK_EG_B16A 10-14-2005, 08:18 PM here's a better idea I came up with, sell your car, get like 500-100 for it and buy a car with better aftermarket support! like an 89-91 CRX. for 10g plus the cash you get from your car you can buy: a crx with a bad motor- 500 b16a 1st gen. - 2000(MAX) build up the b16- 4000 shocks springs- 500 strut & sway bars- 500 wheels/tires - 1000 brake upgrade - 500(not a big brake, just lines, rotors and pads @ all 4 corners) and you can spend whatevers left over on a bodykit/paint job (maybe both if you go with a cheaper paintjob) that'd be a serious, and decent looking street/race car and a better idea than dropping 10k into a 4dr of any kind! This is all asuming that your not BSing wich the more I think about it, the more probable it is. civickiller 10-14-2005, 09:06 PM at first she said i could get a new car if i dont spend over 20K but then i thought about it and i said momma ill just keep my car and fix it up. rofl!!!! stop your killing me 894drcivic 10-16-2005, 09:42 AM here's a better idea I came up with, sell your car, get like 500-100 for it and buy a car with better aftermarket support! like an 89-91 CRX. for 10g plus the cash you get from your car you can buy: a crx with a bad motor- 500 b16a 1st gen. Can you think of another cheap car with a lot of petintal. tomsindahizouse 10-16-2005, 11:19 AM yeah....buy a car with a salvage title or one that has been heavily vandalized...or without an engine. When you buy the car dont worry about what it looks like now...visualize what you want it to be later and go from there. When you find the right car you will know it right away because you wont be able to stop thinking about it. good luck. Take your moms money and get a job so you can buy parts with your money also. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
