Unhook the HVAC line from the level - behind the console, back near the firewall on the passenger side. pull out the bezel with the climate controls attached - then take the climate controls off the bezel = I think its 6 screws... there ya go. good luck e-mail me if you need some help - I had the same thing happen, plus mines painted, plus lights in the dash, ... I've taken that thing out about a million times. wil9413 10-14-2005, 01:09 AM i just tried to take them screws off the emergency and deforst and the bottom of the climate controls, 4 of them now,but the trim won't come off at this stage yet, but for the HVAC line, i m not sure which wire should i unplug. what color is the HVAC line supposed to be? and after i unplug it, the whole trim can be taken out, right? wheel1856 10-15-2005, 05:28 PM Ah ha!! I'm a d*ck, there is another screw you need: follow the plastic housing for the HVAC controls back, should be a white plastic piece that narrows to the metal fram at the back of the console - there is a screw that holds the back of the plastic frame. You also need to unplug the HVAC harnesses, green and brown. The HVAC wire is a stiff black wire that goes behind the console to the left side of the passenger foot well, the wire itself is silver/metal, and has a little ring on the end of it that loops onto a small metal tab that points down from the HVAC housing in the dash. if you need something else, e-mail me, may be quicker. wheel1856@hotmail.com good luck vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
