How to enter a beetle radio security code

I have a VW BEETLE I have the security code is any one know how to enter the security code?

I just went through this last week. The code is four digits and should be in your owners manual on the radio card. Mine was 0003. Plug in the stereo connectors with the key in the ignition but turned off. Turn the radio on and you'll see the word safe on the readout. It should change to four dashes. Use the first four station preset buttons to change each dash to a number. Go all the way past 9 to get a zero. Once the four numbers are showing - turn the key on.
I did it a few times and I'm pretty sure that was the last sequence I went through.
