I recently bought one X5 3.0, just wandering how to check the transmission oil level, since there isn't a dip stick. There is only one for Engine oil.
Thanks

vehicle must be on a lift. With engine cold, remove plug from side of transmission. Start vehicle and use your little finger to feel inside tranny where plug was removed. Should have fluid level near top of that plug.
