After a small problem with battery/starter motor, it seems the security system has cut in, and there is no output from ignition to starter, so it wont start. Scanner resetter shows no fault codes.

Remote key unlocks car etc, and have tried procedure of key initialising with no luck.(i have only one remote key). it seems the key is out of alignment with the computer???

i live in a country (PNG), where there is no access to BMW dealer. So have to solve the problem myself.

is there a way of resetting the security system without access to the specialist equipment (or disconnecting so i can use the car!).

would it work by getting a new key from BMW dealer and or taking existing key to be reset?

any help would be greatly appreciated
