hey. had a quick q. i was wondering if the 2001 tacoma tail lights would fit on my 97 tacoma. i heard from a friend that they would and would be pretty much an exact replacement. but i do not want to buy them and regret wasting money, let me know if it works, and on a scale of 1 - 10 how hard they are to install, wire ( if wiring is different)

they should be a direct fit. plus the 01's look a hell of alot better.

Yes, it does have the exact wireing and mounts, i did this small modification on 2000 Prerunner which has the same lights as 97.
