Trans oil in torque converter

I am rebuilding a 2.8L v6 and have an automatic transmission. I know for the TH-350, TH-400 & 700r4 transmissions, you are supposed to add transmission fluid inside the torque converter.

Do you add trans fluid to the torque convertor for the auto trans. for a 2.8L? When I installed the trans. earlier, it felt like it was slipping. Could it be the torque convertor causing it to slip?

Thanks.

When you the fill the trans normally the pump refills the convertor on it's own you do not have to try and fill the convertor seperately, you couldn't anyway, the way it is designed. Just recheck the level after running it to proper reading.

Usually when I have an empty torque converter I simply add a quart ..just pour slow... That way when I slide it on it's not spilling all over the place...
