A GTP? jeffs_GTP_sleeper 10-09-2005, 07:58 PM SC3.8L/NA3.8L engine from GM used in a wide assortment of vehicles and a decendant of the 3.8L used in the turbo buicks. drdisque 10-09-2005, 08:43 PM Thats a hell of a diesel truck that ran next to it, low 12's on what looked like street tires. Igovert500 10-09-2005, 11:27 PM That is fast. So Jeff...how long until you're in the 9s? :naughty: Xenostalgia 10-11-2005, 02:13 PM 3800 is commonly found in Grand Prix V6Camaro/Firebirds and a handful of other GM/Buick/Chevy/Pontiac cars. S/C make ~260hp and N/A make ~200hp stock. -> Mason <- 10-12-2005, 01:02 AM Pft..... 1986 Buick Century 2.5L "4 tech" engine 1/4: 17.5s @ 76mph Top Speed: Past 85 on the speedo.... *pounds chest* represent!! oh yeah and that's awesome...i have the same question as govert....you need to steal the "fastest AF car" title from that damn truck...lol.... *mutters under breath about the truck beating up on cars* TatII 10-12-2005, 01:23 AM i didn't watch the video but is that 3.8 still super charged? or did they finally decide to put some nice turbo boost to it? -The Stig- 10-12-2005, 01:54 AM i didn't watch the video but is that 3.8 still super charged? or did they finally decide to put some nice turbo boost to it? If it's the same car as the last one he posted about, it's both supercharged and turbocharged. bad360rt 10-12-2005, 02:32 AM oh yeah and that's awesome...i have the same question as govert....you need to steal the "fastest AF car" title from that damn truck...lol.... *mutters under breath about the truck beating up on cars* :smokin: And I'm not done yet :evillol: Look for a new best late Nov/early Dec :iceslolan bad360rt 10-12-2005, 02:38 AM Vid coming soon! Badass car!!! That truck was haulin too, especially for a heavy ass diesel! -> Mason <- 10-12-2005, 10:35 AM Damn! Badass car!!! That truck was haulin too, especially for a heavy ass diesel! j00!! what mods are you slapping on next? or is it just some dyno tuning for ya? nice truck man.. :evillol: jeffs_GTP_sleeper 10-12-2005, 12:51 PM Yeah that is one badass truck... The car still has the factory supercharger in place and functional. The benefits from this are: - they are able to continue using the large blower cam and could keep the front header in place unlike a single turbo setup. - they can run a much larger turbo(longer spool) because of the immediate boost from the M90. TatII 10-12-2005, 09:05 PM very interesting that they have a header and running a turbo in the other 3 cylinders. quit clever. Xenostalgia 10-12-2005, 11:01 PM Wtf how do you supercharge AND turbocharge???!??!! bad360rt 10-13-2005, 05:33 AM j00!! what mods are you slapping on next? or is it just some dyno tuning for ya? nice truck man.. :evillol: Thanks  Well, I had to let off on both of my 11.3 runs, it was running lean on the topend, couldn't maintain fuel pressure. So I'll be revamping my fuel setup when I get back. I'm also going to have my pcm reflashed, I'm only shifting at 5100rpm, that needs to be up around 5800rpm and I'm gonna have my rev limiter bumped from 6K to 7K, just in case I want to spin it over 6K ;) That, along with some better weather, should make for some nice gains. I'll also be going to a higher stall sometime in the near future, and possibly a cam (debating the cam tho, we'll see), oh and alcohol injection, probably over the winter. jeffs_GTP_sleeper 10-13-2005, 06:08 PM http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v621/ahatedguy/323708482zQbvTp_ph.jpg This is another one these setups done by ZZP. This guy ran 11.16@128 with alot of room for improvement and at full weight. The car is twin intercooled with dual Liquid to air cores running off of two pumps and one radiator. The custom boost controller allows the M90 to operate like stock and then shut off at an adjuistable turbo boost level. It's got dials to adjust the boost of the M90 and the turbo, works pretty cool and we look forward to doing more projects like this. We had the M90 installed with a 3.4" pulley and set the bypass to open when the turbo started making 1# of boost to the M90 inlet. -Zooomer of ZZP Colov99 10-13-2005, 11:39 PM ^^ That car is sick. I wish my 3800 was that fast.... turtlecrxsi 10-14-2005, 05:06 PM That is some cool stuff! How reliable is it? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
